Happy Clod Hopping, Fellow Cowgirls,

Congratulations, Readers! You have waded through six months of Flossophy, and have thereby slackened your long downhill slide.

Let’s pause for a moment of appreciation as we remember how picayune and provincial you were a mere half-year ago. And now look at you! You’re a lot less worse off than everyone was expecting. You’re welcome!
A Pair of Six Months Meet
And Thank You! To staff, that is, for returning to task after going apeshit with Administrative Leave. Not that we minded the Administrative Leave extravaganza. In hindsight, it’s obvious they were helping by not helping. Just like the Volunteers.

Reader Question of the Week
from Paige Parry, of mostly magnificent Minneapolis. If you’re being really funny and nobody’s laughing, are you really being funny? This question was posed after our popular baby naming service, Bay-Buh-Nay, worked overtime (for free) naming Baby Parry. (There were several options, one of which may or may not be a Tropical Storm currently belting New Orleans.) We at Bay-Buh-Nay stand by our recommendation to choose between Harry Larry Parry and Gary Mary Barry Parry. Debate over the comedic value of the selections remains unresolved at press time.

Consider these chuckleheads, the Evens family. They thought it would be hysterical to name their baby Steven. Imagine every alphabetical list growing up: Evens, Steven. No wonder he became a dentist.

"You can tell who our Patient's (sic) are by their Smile (sic)"
-Steven E. Evens DDS - Family & Cosmetic Dentistry

Fictionary Friday: Words You Need. Whether you know it or not.
Snorf (snorff) Noun:  A happy thought that’s slightly funny.
In a sentence:  When the meter maid was ticketing Dr. Steven Evens, he emitted a diversionary snorf about how nice it is to make small donations to such a well-run city.

Wikipedia Friday Favorite:
In honor of the intersection of curiosity and logarithmically expanding human knowledge, we offer a weekly favorite obscure Wikipedia page. We "see" you.

Fizzdom Friday: from our collection of favorite quotes.
"Very little is needed to make a happy life." Marcus Aurelius

Friday Fluff: Call to Action
In honor of our six-month anniversary we are soliciting topics for inclusion in upcoming issues of Flossophy Friday. From you. Yes, you. We promise to embarrass you with attribution, unless you prefer to remain anonymous.

Write if (are) or (are not) planning to be funny, at least 1.5 times this week.

Yours in the clods of time,
Jonathan
