Happy Hibernating, Fellow Ursa Majors,

This just in: now that we can do only 17% of what we always did, life has become 83% more complicated. Everyone in the lab is chewing on this conundrum. And drooling. (Don't ask.) Yes, frankly we’re concerned, especially because they're all now stymied by aimonomia.

Aimonomia? Yes. Those of you who followed through and clicked (like you should have) on Tom Kelley’s link last week – https://eunoia.world/ – would know the meaning: scared to learn the "why" of something.

And, speaking of concerns, yes, like many of you, we have long been concerned that trio has four letters. It’s just ridiculous. So close, yet so far. But, crap, talk about putting things in perspective . . . monosyllabic. Crap. If trio is ridiculous, what is monosyllabic? A five syllable word that means one syllable??? Don’t even get us started.

However, despite the above obstacles, considerable though they may be, we are happy to report that some fellow calendar-burners on staff are using their forced liberation to enrich the cityscape with meaningful art installations.
Bisected roof with diagonal carpet and wires on the left

Puddle with lines and a few leaves and like a million pebbles

Conceptual garage with garbage receptacles and air

Speaking of garbage: Proper disposal of corona
And regarding the corona discussion, we welcome relevant literary contributions to our burgeoning Flossophy Of Fongress Library. Thank you, Chris Cox, for the Reader Reply of the Week donation, published in a previous millennium!
This explains a lot. (But not monosyllabic.)
Which ties right in with our mystically apropos Other Reader Reply of the Week from Jean Prewitt of Charlotte, North Carolina: more warnings of "certain problems" were also issued in a previous millennium, in the form of song . . . .

  • Bad Medicine - Bon Jovi
  • I Wanna Be Sedated - Ramones
  • Aqualung - Jethro Tull
  • Helplessly Hoping - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
  • Help! - The Beatles
  • Gimme Shelter - The Rolling Stones
  • I Think We’re Alone Now - Tiffany
  • Don't Stand So Close to Me - The Police
  • Toxic - Britney Spears
  • Fever - Peggy Lee
  • Is There Anybody Out There - Pink Floyd

Fictionary Friday
: Words You Need. Whether you know it or not.
Anxabongy (anks ahh bong gee) Noun:  Creative worrying
In a sentence: Marcia Mello indulged in a bout of anxabongy over whether to spend her free government money on a jetski or a snowmobile.

Wikipedia Friday Favorite:
In honor of the intersection of curiosity and logarithmically expanding human knowledge, we offer a weekly favorite obscure Wikipedia page.
For your extra bonus enjoyment, click on this international rendition of the legendary song:
The Weight, beautifully socially distanced.

Fizzdom Friday: since you have so much extra time these days,
two from our collection of favorite quotes.

"A hermit is simply a person to whom civilization has failed to adjust itself."
Will Cuppy,
Author of The Decline and Fall of Practically Everybody

"Who knew that being a high functioning introvert would come in so handy!"
–  Graham Brookie

Write if you (are) or (are not) planning to spin The Weight, around the world.

Yours multi-syllabically,
Jonathan
