Keep Rolling, Fellow Wheelwrights,

Everything we’ve learned about what we have no interest in -- except it could kill us all -- has at least enabled everyone to catch up on insomnia. And even better, some very nice volunteers from the Trilateral Commission are working on how to monetize sleeplessness. So let’s look at the bright side: soon we’ll all be rich!

And that’s not all! More Good News! Everything’s cancelled! Except for this: We’re hosting a virtual actual Calendar Burning! Who needs a freaking calendar anymore? Yee-hah, buddy, burn it up and send us the asses, I mean ashes.

Free of calendars that crowd out true life experiences, we are now unburdened and sprung free to consider shoes, floors, and shadows.
Shoes.
More information available, maybe.
Floor.
Self explanatory. Yet interesting.
Shadows.
Lurking in the darkness. Beware.

In addition to being rich without a calendar, we are also rich in Readers' Replies of the Weeks. We’ve been holding back and now, without a calendar, we are free to share our hoarded supply.

Language Category:
1. Thank you, Dan Ellentuck, for autology: a word that is what it means, such as noun. It is one. And short, because it is . . .

2. For words that don’t translate into English, thanks to Tom Kelley.

3. And thank you, Drew Brookie, for telepathically adding to Tom’s link with a German word, "Hamsterkauf: mindless spending like a hamster storing food in his cheeks."

Flossophy of Fongress Library:
Cynthia Shelley, many thanks for supplying a volume for our newest section of Flossophy Friday! Contributions to The Collection welcome!

Friday Fluff:
And big thank you, Elsa Woodman, for this amazing reply to our Next Testament piece of two weeks ago. Elsa reveals what we might call an "alternately sexualized" community operating in plain sight with plenty of joy near Oaxaca, Mexico:

We happily complement Elsa’s link with

Fictionary Friday
: Words You Need. Whether you know it or not.
Demiloondo (dehm eee looon doh) Noun:  The beginning of the middle of the end of the first half.
In a sentence: During a florid news conference amidst an avalanche of bluster, a fake billionaire declared that we were smack in the middle of a demiloondo and everyone should practice hamsterkauf.

Wikipedia Friday Favorite:
In honor of the intersection of curiosity and logarithmically expanding human knowledge, we offer a weekly favorite obscure Wikipedia page.

Fizzdom Friday: from our collection of favorite quotes.
"The limits of my language are the limits of my mind.
All I know is what I have words for."   – Ludwig Wittgenstein
